Remote jobs you can do from Nepal

Roles open worldwide, to Asia-Pacific, or to Nepal

Most remote jobs can only be done from the country where the company already employs people. This page counts the ones a person living in Nepal can apply for, out of the 10,381 remote roles open on Ambition Pad.

Checking that a “worldwide” role really includes you

A role marked worldwide can still have limits that only appear further down the listing or in the first call. Before you spend an evening on an application:

  • Read the location and eligibility lines in full. Phrases such as “must be authorised to work in”, “US or EU only” or a list of countries override the word “remote” in the title.
  • Check the working hours. Nepal is on UTC+5:45. A role that needs four hours of overlap with US Pacific time means working well into the night in Kathmandu. Roles that ask for European or Asian hours are much easier to live with.
  • Find out how they would pay you. Companies without staff in Nepal usually hire through an employer-of-record service or as an independent contractor. Ask which, and make sure you can receive the payment method in Nepal before you accept.
  • Ask early if you are unsure. A one-line question to the recruiter (“Can you hire someone based in Nepal for this role?”) saves you and them time.

How we count

  • A role counts as open to Nepal when the company marks it open worldwide, names Nepal, or names Asia, Asia-Pacific or APAC as the region applicants may live in.
  • Role families and levels are read from the job title, as on the overview.
  • Figures are recomputed every few hours from the listings open on the board.

Search the board; each listing shows the region it is open to.
