We are looking for a Costing & Design Engineer with hands-on experience in LT Panels & Distribution Boards, capable of handling design, component selection, and accurate electrical & mechanical costing based on customer specifications.
The role demands strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and coordination between design and estimation.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare electrical designs and drawings for LT Panels & Distribution Boards using AutoCAD
Perform electrical and mechanical costing & estimation as per customer and project requirements
Select appropriate switchgear and control gear components based on load calculations, standards, and project scope
Prepare BOQ, cost sheets, and technical documentation
Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and tender documents
Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical standards and safety norms
Coordinate with procurement and production teams for component feasibility and costing accuracy
Support sales/engineering teams with technical inputs and cost clarifications
Must-Have:
2–3 years of experience in LT Panel / Distribution Board design & costing
Strong working knowledge of Switchgear & Control Gear products
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical Drawings)
Experience in component selection as per project and customer requirements
Ability to prepare accurate electrical & mechanical cost estimations
Good-to-Have:
Exposure to panel manufacturing processes
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards
Experience working with customized project-based orders
