We’re looking for a hands-on, execution-focused Senior Full-Stack Engineer who has experience building and evolving products over time and who takes deep ownership of quality and reliability. You’ll work across the stack to ship new features, strengthen existing systems, and ensure the product remains dependable as it scales. Day to day, you’ll write production code, help shape technical direction, and contribute to building a team and platform that can grow sustainably.

You’ll partner closely with product and engineering peers to deliver customer value while continuously increasing confidence in releases. We’re looking for a true team multiplier — someone who can own larger areas of the system, drive new functionality end to end, and raise the bar for how we build and ship software.

What you'll do

Design, build, and ship full-stack features that are reliable, maintainable, and well tested

Own quality across the system, from backend services and APIs to frontend user experiences

Evolve existing systems over time, balancing new feature development with long-term technical health

Collaborate with product and engineering partners to make thoughtful tradeoffs around scope, quality, and delivery

Help define and reinforce engineering best practices around testing, validation, and release confidence

You'll be responsible for

Owning the quality and reliability of larger areas of the product, across backend services, APIs, and frontend experiences.

Designing, building, and shipping production features with a strong emphasis on correctness, testability, and long-term maintainability

Driving root-cause analysis for bugs and implementing fixes that address underlying system issues

Improving and maintaining automated testing across the stack (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to increase confidence in releases

5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience

Strong experience building and maintaining production React.js applications

Experience with Ruby on Rails or similar MVC backend frameworks

Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain automated test suites

Experience with modern test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Selenium)

Solid understanding of full-stack web architectures and how systems behave in production

Strong technical judgment and a track record of owning systems over time

A quality-first mindset paired with pragmatism and delivery focus

Why beehiiv?

Bias towards action: Our first impulse is to act. We don’t get bogged down in unnecessary processes or bullsh**t. Perfection is the enemy of progress.

Ownership mentality: This company is ours. We go the extra mile because that’s what owners do. Every day, people step up to take on tasks outside of their responsibilities and do whatever it takes for us to succeed.

Building is in our DNA: We are obsessed with improving every aspect of our platform (and ourselves). Whether it’s our product, support, or partnerships, we never stop working to improve it.

We answer to our users: Nothing matters more than serving our users. If our users fail, we fail.

Ego comes second, but winning comes first: We put our egos aside to work collaboratively and build something special. It doesn't matter who's idea or who's vision, we're here to create the best outcome. We're here to win.
